I never want to see Remus cry like that again. Oh my god.

James had been right here and joking about my plants eating him. I am SICK OF THIS. I am sick of losing people left and right and us not being able to do anything about it because we're so busy debating about whether or not it's alright to go after people with children while they are killing children and taking their parents and they don't even blink.

I don't want to be a fucking victim anymore. I don't want to keep losing my friends because we're worried that revenge isn't justice.

We're going to find him. He's not dead and we're going to find him because god, if nothing else, I owe him for finding me last month.

Alright. I'm going to guess that by this point continuing to search around Knockturn is just going to waste our time. They wouldn't've stayed around there if they left Remus behind, even if they thought they were leaving him for dead after crucioing him til he blacked out. There's no sign of him on the Diagon Map. If he was still there, we'd know it.

I don't think he'd dead, though. When they kill people, they brag, even if it's under private wards. They send bodies in the mail. We would know. I don't want to be talking like th. Which makes me wonder if maybe that's what happened to Pete and Caradoc too. There wasn't evidence, they just disappeared. And I know we got the letters for Doc, but let's face it, he might've had those designed to be sent out if he just was taken somehow, because he's the kind of person who wouldn't want us using our resources to try to find him, you know? And his mothe Hell, I even want to think the same for Dorcas because we never knew for sure with her, but Bletchley knew she was dead too.

It makes me wonder if they have like... a prison or something for all the people who just disappear who are on our side. And that's scary as shit to think about, but at least it would give us something to look for.

...They've got control of Azkaban now...

I don't think I like 20. I think I'd rather go backwards and re-do 18. That was a good year.

After a little thought, it occurs to me that maybe they do have a special prison for the likes of us. Maybe the same place they threw that Auror they got their hands on? What was her name? Jo Savage?

Except they gave her a journal when she was there, didn't they? And we certainly haven't seen or heard anything from Peter or James on the journals, which counts against that a bit.

They didn't give her a journal though until after they started making her smoke the Happy Purism is Lovely Yay weed, though.

So we can't rule it in just yet but we can't rule it out either.

We can rule it out by finding Gaius Travers and punching him in the face until he tells us what's up. I'll volunteer.

If, as Alice said, Travers has been pretending to be a Healer, maybe he took James to St. Mungo's?

I thought of that, too. Jo disappeared, and was acting very strangely on the journals, talking about a 'Healer Travers,' and now that she came back I'm still not a hundred percent certain she's all right.

Since Gaius Travers responded to her entries, I'm fairly certain that there is no actual 'Healer Travers' and that he has something to do with this, and of course he is not, in fact, an actual Healer.

I'm still not sure why they released her, or what kind of a programme they were putting her through, but it's very strange we haven't seen anything like we saw from her, or anything along the lines of fingers/limbs/vases of ashes.

The idea that they are learning subtlety is not comforting.

Gigantor and Old Guy Avery beat the shit out of her til she was on death's doorstep, and then Travers healed her up to make her think he was a good guy, and then was all manipulative and shit at her. I doubt that's it but that's the gist of what I got. The whole thing's bullshit. It's where they're putting the other hostages from the Albion types they took when they got Moody's mum.

I've heard of that sort of thing but I've never really looked into it. I don't much care for that sort of manipulation. I've heard it can be effective if you know what to do though.

Even if that is it, James won't buy into it. No way. And we'll find him first, we'll find all of them first.

No, I can't see him doing so and he has a very strong personality - very much a leader, not a follower - which will stand him in good stead to resist anything Travers might try.

I know it may sound odd but I think on the whole I'd much rather find out that James has been thrown into Azkaban than is in that ridiculous rehabilitation program. I never thought I'd ever consider exposure to Dementors a preferable option.

I have a feeling that there may have been some brainwashing going on, because that wasn't just pain potion overdose happy. However, I have no idea how they would be doing it, or, more importantly, what would qualify Travers of all people.

Is it possible for you to find out anything about why they released her or what they were doing to her? Does she even know? I remember those entries and they were not overly endowed with coherence.

Though I admit under the circumstances I'd be more interested in why they released her than anything else. If this Travers person does have James and Peter, that's what would be the most intersting thing to know.

And just to cover all the bases, how much to they teach Aurors about Azkaban these days? Do you actually go there much? And would you know the general layout of the place?

I don't think she knows why -- if she does, she hasn't told me. She's more coherent than before and seems to be her old self from what I've seen, but the whole incident is very unnerving.

We only know a bit about Azkaban -- the basics of how it operates. As far as I know, it's a circular tower, on an island in the North Sea, but that can mean a lot. It's also likely unplottable if the Ministry had ever had an idea of what it was doing. I've never been -- access is highly privileged (but not sought after for obvious reasons), and prisoners are taken there by portkey. Conditions are obviously harsh, not just in the prison itself, but the climate. Obviously the Death Eaters were able to penetrate the fortress in January, so it's not impossible, but it would be extremely difficult.
